OFFICIAL VISITORS GUIDE

For the past three years, Toelke Associates has designed and produced this annual, full-color guide book for the Berkshire Visitors Bureau, located in Pittsfield, MA. The Berkshire Visitors Bureau is the official regional tourism council for Berkshire County.

Our work on this project includes:

• General and ongoing consultation to develop and produce the Guide
• Organizational consultation and visual concept, cover concept and design, and typographic and page design
• Assessment of and/or preparation of materials from 100+ advertisers
• Consultation for imaging, including providing in-house scans and image editing where appropriate
• Editorial consultation
• Printing sourced through our printing associate RAAND Print Specialties
• Review of page proofs, and on-site press check at Times Printing, Random lake, Wisconsin

We work closely with the BVB on the Guide, which is the key promotional publication for Berkshire County, with over 2,000,000 annual visitors. The Guide is positioned to be the highest-quality publication of its kind, meeting the needs of visitors as well as the nearly 600 members who make up the BVB. An important aspect of the Guide is to showcase the cultural and recreational attractions of the county, making it more than just an advertising vehicle.

This is a time-sensitive project, and each year files are delivered on time, on budget in PDF file format as specified by the printer. Approximately 225,000 copies are printed and distributed each year.

In addition to the Official Visitors Guide, we design and produce a number of support publications: Culture in the Country; Adventure in the Country; and the Meeting and Conference Planner. Numerous other print items such as cooperative advertising pages in travel publications, display ads, etc. are designed and produced on an ongoing basis.
